The clean tapered forend styling allows for a firmer grip and better control. The redesigned trigger housing improves access to functional controls while improving the overall ergonomics of the rifle. The SIG556 operating system is topped off with a red dot and a rotary diopter sighting system that ensures quick target acquisition. SIG556 Classic pictured is equipped with the Mini Red Dot Sight.
Features a 21”military grade cold hammer-forged heavy contour barrel. The rifle is chambered in 5.56mm NATO, with a twist rate of 1 in 10” . The match grade heavy barrel features a target crown and matte black nitride finish for the ultimate in corrosion resistance. The forearm, housing the gas operating system, is a vented non-slip polymer featuring the SIG TriRail™ design with three integrated Picatinny rails for mounting a bipod and other accessories. The Picatinny rail equipped receiver is made of high strength steel with a durable wear-resistant Nitron-X finish. The SIG556® Classic SWAT continues the on-going evolution of the Classic model. It features an aluminum quad-rail hand guard that is ideally suited for mounting tactical accessories. The stock is a hinged folding Swiss-style that is able to collapse for ease of transportation or use in tight quarters. This feature is made possible by a new stock interface into the trigger casing.
